Businessman Mike Ashley has launched a £133.1m ($263m) offer for Newcastle United Football Club.
The quite-clearly-mentally-unstable Mr Ashley made the offer for the original white elephant after his company, St James’ Holdings Ltd, bought a 41.6 per cent stake in the club for more than £55m.
What’s even worse for Ashley is, under stock market rules, the poor bastard has now got to make a cash offer for the rest of the shares.
It never rains but it pours, eh?
Put it this way we don’t even touch Newcastle when playing Football Manager…and that’s just a computer game.
