More woe for the West Indies

May 26th, 2007 · No Comments

Ryan Sidebottom continued to torment the West Indies batsmen

[Second Test, Day Two, Headingley: England 570-7dec (Pietersen 226); West Indies 142 & 22-2]

Right then pay attention because this might not happen again for a very long time.

England, yes that’s right England, are on top. And in a rather large way.

West Indies had to follow on after they were skittled out for 146.

Kevin Pietersen decided that getting one hundred runs wasn’t enough. So he got two hundred. And twenty-six.

Matt Prior nabbed 75 while drink-driver Liam Plunkett bagged himself a quick-fire 44 not out - and not a penalty point in sight.

Ryan Sidebottom took 4-42, as Liam Plunkett took 3-35.

Then, following on, the Windies was rocked to 22-2 at the close. Idiots.
